The Practical Angel Magic of Dr. John Dee''s Enochian Tables

Stephen Skinner and David Rankine combined their efforts into producing this excellent book, the first in a series called "Sourceworks of Ceremonial Magic", which makes available for the first time a book of personal angelic invocations, from the early 17th century, which originated with the material of Dr. John Dee, astrologer to Queen Elisabeth I. The work, Tabularum Bonorum Angelorum Invocationes, is an excellent collection of invocations and rituals which was worked by a number of magickians from the 17th century onwards.

Only a small percentage of the enochian magic which was worked by these magickians made it into the Golden Dawn system of Magic- and some of the material which was known the chiefs of the order was supressed or ignored. As a result much of what is known about Enochian magic today is based on assumption and fanciful contructions by 20th century magicians such as Aleister Crowley and many others.

This book makes available, for the first time, some of this material which has to date not been available to anyone, save a select few with private access to the source material.

The book details the creation of the Angelic names from the Enochian Tables and gives full invocations of the all the Enochian Angels. The introduction to the manuscript in the book, also includes a history of the development of Angel Magic, information on a number of the 17th century practitioners and in addition gives a precis of John Dee's manuscripts and their availability.

Excellent work, beautifully produced hardback with dust jacket, in a limited edition of 1500.
